Kazakhstan is introducing a new artificial intelligence-based system to analyze the gasoline and diesel markets. The system will enable state-owned oil and gas company KazMunayGas to monitor the entire fuel supply chain — from refineries to gas stations — and forecast consumption, according to the KazService, an association of oilfield service companies.
Creating a transparent fuel market
KazService said the KazMunayGas Dispatch and Analysis Center, in cooperation with the State Revenue Committee, is consolidating data to improve transparency in the country’s fuel market.

The system will combine information from electronic waybills, virtual warehouse platform and gas station receipts to track fuel movements from the moment a shipment leaves a refinery until it is pumped into a vehicle.
Each fuel batch will be assigned a digital identifier, allowing authorities to monitor its volume, transportation routes, intermediaries involved in distribution and the amount ultimately sold at retail stations.
AI-driven forecasting and supply management
Using the collected data, the KazMunayGas center will apply artificial intelligence tools to assess fuel consumption patterns across Kazakhstan’s regions, forecast demand and optimize fuel distribution.
Officials expect the system to help reduce the risk of gasoline and diesel shortages while also preventing excess supplies from accumulating in the market.
