On Aug. 29, Arba Wine will host its Harvest Festival at its vineyards in the Assy Valley. Kursiv LifeStyle looks at ticket prices and what’s in store for attendees.
The festival marks the end of the winemaking season and the beginning of the new harvest. The highlight will be a tasting of young wines from the 2026 harvest.
The program includes live music, performances by a cover band and an orchestra, DJ sets and a food program. Guests will be served plov (rice pilaf), baursaks (fried dough), salads and other dishes. A farmers’ market featuring local natural products will also be open on site.
The program will also feature a traditional grape-stomping dance, a winemaking ritual associated with the harvest celebrations. In the evening, the festivities will continue an open-air show. Organizers will also install mountain-view photo zones.
The event will take place at the vineyards in the Assy Valley, around 70 kilometers from Almaty. Tickets are available with or without transfer from Almaty.
A ticket with a transfer costs 40,000 tenge (approximately $88), while a ticket without a transfer costs 38,000 tenge ($83). Organizers warn that the price may rise to 45,000 tenge ($99) as the event date approaches. The ticket includes a welcome drink, meals, wine and an entertainment program. Tickets with a transfer include round-trip transportation from Almaty.
The event is open to guests aged 21 and over. Tickets are available through Arba Wine and Freedom Ticketon.
Arba Wine has been operating since 2006, with its vineyards located in the Assy Valley at the foot of the Ile Alatau mountains, about 1,000 meters above sea level. The company produces wine from its own grapes, including those from its own-rooted vines dating back to Soviet-era plantings in the 1970s and 1980s.
